Google is Gatekeeping Search Results
Google search algorithms leak confirm that Google is gatekeeping search results. If you find this article, at that might be a small miracle, because Google filters out what they perceive as personal blogs and ranks them low in search results. I knew this when I launched several niche blogs and YouTube channels and discovered I wasn't turning up in the search results no matter how many keywords/search terms I used. I could only find my sites if I used my name or the name of the channel/blog. So, hoping to organically build followership was cut off at the knees because of the gatekeeping.
Google’s own Search AI states:
Google has been accused of being a gatekeeper of the internet and manipulating search results in several ways, including:
Anticompetitive practices
Google has been accused of using exclusivity agreements to prevent competing search engines from being preinstalled on devices, and forcing its own applications to be preinstalled and made undeletable.
Algorithmic changes
Google has been accused of making algorithmic changes to favor certain advertisers and websites, and to hide controversial topics.
Blacklisting sites
Google has been accused of blacklisting certain sites, even those not required by law.
Storing personal information
Google stores personal information about users' search results and viewing habits to improve targeted advertising.
Google has also been the subject of a civil antitrust suit filed by the US Department of Justice and 11 state Attorney Generals.
